First of all, we investigate to fully understand the operation of the process or machine. We determine the operational challenges involved in the project and assess the business impact(s) on production operations.
This phase includes outlining the operators’ requirements, identifying potential solutions, discussing alternatives, identifying an approach, and agreeing on the personnel needed to tackle the problem.
Design means definition of desired operations and documenting the details in a Functional Specification (FS). This FS describes system functionality from the user’s perspective.
This is the step engineers love best – putting everything together and making it work. Involving such tasks as DCS configuration, HMI/OIT screen development, database configuration, PLC programming, and report generation, it all becomes reality in this phase of the project.
This step involves testing, installing, and commissioning and spans from the Factory Acceptance Test to the project’s successful completion.
We compare the system’s operation to the project’s User Requirements. We evaluate our customer’s satisfaction and provide final deliverables such as User Manuals and Training.
